I created this video just for another reference on the condition of a refurbished Mac. As I found out myself while researching whether I should buy new or not, the more resources/videos on refurbs, the better.
This is a mid-2009 unibody 15.4″ Macbook Pro with the 2.66ghz core 2 duo processor, 4gb RAM and a 320 gb HDD. It also has the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 256MB graphics cards. Snow Leopard came preinstalled on it, which surprised me since Apple told me it wouldn’t be and I would just get a retail copy of the OS included with my computer. Runs great, looks brand new. Couldn’t be happier, and saved 300 bucks in the process by buying a refurb.
If you want a more detailed unboxing, then there are plenty of those videos out there. This is simply a quick video to show the condition of a refurbished MacBook Pro. Thanks

The notebook looks …
The notebook looks amazing. I have a 13 inch Unibody Macbook and it’s a great notebook, but I realized that the 15 inch Macbook Pro is the perfect size laptop for me. I bought the Unibody Macbook brand new and it’s in perfect condition, but I’m considering getting a 15 inch refurbished. so I won’t have to spend so much like on a brand new one.
i ordered it from …
i ordered it from apple. i probably would only order a primary computer from apple themselves, but otherwise i am thinking about buying an old emac or g4 imac from ebay or something like that just to around with.

thanks dude. i was worried to about the conditions about it. thanks a lot.
oh it is great! put …
oh it is great! put vista on it as a “just in case” thing with bootcamp, and OS X loads in about 15-20 seconds if that, and it takes vista at least 3 times that. I will probably just get rid of vista on it entirely. looks like crap compared to OS X!!
Love your …
Love your expression at 1:34!!!! That will probably be what i do when i get my MBP. I plan to get one next summer hopefully they’ll have Blu-ray drives in them. How do you like the speed of yours?

oh yeah, they are …
oh yeah, they are all nice. if you are looking at a 13 inch though, you should check out the regular macbooks. they are cheaper, but it all depends on what you are looking at as far as the specs of the laptop go. i was used to a 15 inch screen, so that’s why i got it this one, but would’ve gotten a macbook otherwise.
you think the 13 …
you think the 13 inch is good, too?

That is a very good idea! And you probably ordered the last one. Congrats.
Hey, I definately …
Hey, I definately recommend you buy the apple care as well but, I would wait until the end of your free warranty if you dont have the cash. It comes with a free 1 years warranty and they usually give you free apple service calls for free any ways!
After looking at it for a few months, I ordered my 15′ 2.4 ghz late 2008 MBP on friday and It comes tomorrow. They became out of stock the minute after i ordered which is extreme luck
they just can’t …
they just can’t resell it as a new mac, because technically it’s not new anymore. no one would be able to tell that my macbook isn’t brand new. anyway, if you can afford it, buy the applecare protection plan with it, just in case.
i would highly …
i would highly recommend buying the applecare protection plan with it, not only with refurbished macs but with new as well. not because mac’s have more problems by any means, but they get more expensive to repair it seems, and not as many repair shops available. i think the closest apple store to me is like 3 hours away. any defective part is replaced in a refurbished mac, so don’t worry about that. any part that looks used is thoroughly cleaned or replaced to look new.
