Windows has a cool thing called Windows Fax. Once you setup the program(which is extremely easy) just plug a phone cord from the wall into the modem. Once the fax is recieved it will be in a digital mailbox on your computer. You can opt to print it or just look at it on your monitor. If you still want to go to a store, I know that Office Depot, Office Max, Staples, Kinkos and any other stores like this send and recieve faxes. You can also go to many check cashing places, like western union type places or small privately owned Mailbox/Shipping stores that sometimes also have money orders, and Western Union signs.
