At work, I print documents to a network printer, but can’t print pdf files. Does anyone know why?

Adobe Acrobat files are the only documents I can’t print. Also, the printer is one of those Cannon copier machines that are on the network.

This may not help you, but it happened to me some time ago.
Adobe Acrobat (pdf) files are sent to your printer as graphics, not as a document.
Some older printers can’t handle graphics because the print file is either too large, or because ther are no "fonts" associated with the pdf file. It is treated as an image instead of a document.
So…
Can you print pictures on this printer?
(jpg files, bmp files, gif files, tif files)?

I would have your IT person take a look at your machine to see what is going on because printers can print pdf files

Make sure you are using the correct print driver at your Pc (You will need a PCL Driver)
