My copier machine has a knocking noise.

Posted on November 29th, 2009 by admin

I have a Sharp AR-M277 and when ever it copies or prints it makes a knocking noise. When I fax it doesn’t make a noise. Just when it has to print or copy.

TO isolate the source of the noise, you need to compare what is running when you are copying/printing and what is not running in the system when you are sending fax. When faxing, I am assuming you are not running a confimation page, because that is the same as getting copies, so the noise is coming from the paper feed or the imaging area (print cartridge area) or the output area. There could be a worn belt or gear that is causing the noise. Run different paper trays and see if the noise is coming only from a tray so you can isolate the source. Otherwise, you need to palce a service call to the authorized service dealership.

How do fax machines work?

Posted on November 29th, 2009 by admin

I know how to operate my fax machine, but how do I make it work?
Do I just hook it up to my telephone line? and receive and send faxes from the same number?

Thanks to all that reply!

Yup, that’s all there is to it. Fax machine + phone line = Working Fax Machine.

What copyright laws are used to protect HDVD copyright holders?

Posted on November 29th, 2009 by admin

My original question for a project is: "Should hdvd copies/copiers be regulated to protect copyright holders?"

But I was just wondering what laws are already in place in order to protect the copyright holders?

Assuming United States Law:
Copyright Law of 1976
and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA)
are the two laws in place to protect dvd copyright holders.

The 1976 Law protects copyrights in general, and the DMCA grants additional protection to copyrighted works in a digital format.
Although you can make a copy of your own legally acquired property for private personal use,the DMCA Section 1201 makes it a federal crime to do so if you had to bypass any tool, or encription to do so. So, changing a HDVD file to any other file format is illegal, with very limited exceptions.
Now, the same question came out with cd burners, and dvd burners. It can be assumed that the same restrictions will be placed of HDVD copiers as well.

To comment on a previous answer: "Copyright law only provides a remedy for illegal pirating" This is not true. There are several exclusive copyrights and copying is just one of them. Other rights include the right to display and perform, the right to distribute, and the right to create derivative works. The 1976 law also created parameters for legal copying without permission, (being a legal pirate) like Fair Use, Personal Use and First Sale. Additional copyright laws have created the public domain, and defined how materials become public domain.

What size should a digital picture be for best printer/copier results?

Posted on November 29th, 2009 by admin

We have a Canon Image Runner printer/copier/scan/fax. What size should a digital picture be shot with a Casio Exilim 7.2 megapixel camera for best results. I want to get as many pictures on a memory card as possible so I don’t want to make a picture larger than necessary.

It depends on what size you want to print them at. Good quality prints are 300dpi, so if you want a 4×6" print, you need at least 1200×1800 pixels (about 2.2 MegaPixels). Obviously if you want to print 8×10’s or larger prints, you need proportionally larger image files.

how do you clear code e000007-0000 on canon 3300 copier printer?

Posted on November 29th, 2009 by admin

That code indicates a problem with the "fixer film" or fuser, so you won’t likely be able to "reset" it without first resolving the problem that caused it.

Call a printer technician.

Can you take copies with a copy machine without closing the its cover?

Posted on November 29th, 2009 by admin

I want to know if I can take copies with a copy machine without closing its lid, because I want to make sure that I don’t break the printer.

yes you can can.. well most of the news ones.. The reason you can, that most of the new copy machines/all-in-one printers let you do this is for copying tex/pic out of a text book. Just have the page you want copied on the glass face/text/pic down. and hit copy .

Good luck and happy copying :)

Have you ever tried to get sent home early from work by placing a waste paper basket on you head a pencil up?

Posted on November 29th, 2009 by admin

each nostril and sat on the photo copier going "Ick ick ick" at random intervals and if so did it work?

Never tried that one, but as l work for myself from home, it would be a little pointless, but whatever works for you!!!
